Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Inflatable Kayak Review

I decided several years ago that I wanted to switch from using a hard-shell kayak to using an inflatable kayak. My reasons for this were simple… my storage space was limited and I wanted to be able to travel with my kayak. I knew that there were some excellent quality inflatable kayaks on the market and after several months of research I zeroed in on the Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame kayak.

Below I will outline my top four reasons for choosing this model.

My Reasons for Choosing the AdvancedFrame Inflatable Kayak

Reason # 1 – I wanted a solo kayak that I would be able to handle all on my own. In otherwords I wanted to keep the weight down while still having the option of piling it with cargo if I wanted to do an extended paddling trip. The AdvancedFrame weighs 36 pounds so I can easily transport it on my own and it is still light enough to check onto an airplane without any extra fees.

Reason # 2 – I wanted a kayak that was decent quality yet still affordable. From the research I did I knew that prices vary greatly. There are some excellent top of the line models to choose from that I think would likely last you forever. However I wanted to keep the costs down if I could but still get at a fairly good quality inflatable boat. This Advanced Elements kayak cost me under $500 and is known to be able to withstand several years of kayaking fun and be constructed with tear resistant and durable PVC fabric.

Reason # 3 – I wanted a kayak that would be able to paddle on lakes, slow rivers as well as in some easy ocean kayaking. This model fit all those needs and has several options available that provide good performance, comfort and style. The build-in aluminum ribs help with good tracking and it paddles effortlessly.

Reason # 4 – The reviews were excellent. In all the reviews I read (and there were a LOT of them) they were mostly all very positive. This model seems to be extremely popular for the average recreational kayaker. They style of this inflatable kayak is really nice and its look and design remind me of a hard-shell kayak.

If you are looking for an affordable solo inflatable kayak that gives great performance, comfort and style then I would highly recommend taking a closer look at the Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame kayak. It has fit all of my needs and surpassed my expectations.
